I am delighted to announce that registrations for the conference co-organized by the University of Utrecht School of Law and the International Center for Law & Economics (ICLE) are now open.
This conference entitled Dynamic Competition and Online Platforms: Evaluating Recent Government Reports will be held in Paris on December 4 and will have for focus to examine the merits and drawbacks of the spate of recent government reports (and enforcement actions) against online platforms—and, in particular, how well the various approaches would address the longstanding tension in competition policy between the promotion of static and dynamic competition.
The event will take place at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, beginning with lunch at 12:30 and ending at 19:30 following a reception. In between will be a keynote address by Paul Seabright (Professor of Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics and Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse), and two panels of esteemed international scholars, including Cristina Caffarra, Michelle Connelly, Bill Kovacic, Thomas A. Lambert, Ioannis Lianos, Mariateresa Maggiolino, Geoffrey A. Manne, Francisco Marcos, Alex Robson, Paul Seabright, Thibault Schrepel (myself), Anna-Lise Sibony, Jasper Sluijs, Anna Tzanaki, Gregory Werden and Joshua Wright.
Space is limited, so we recommend registering as soon as possible: HERE!!!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: champagne will be served, and there’s a surprise…!
